Major fire reported at Saudi Arabia's Rabigh oil refinery
A large fire is burning at the Rabigh oil refinery in Saudi Arabia, with satellite data detecting fire radiating power of approximately 410 MW and imagery showing thick black smoke rising from the facility. The incident comes amid an expanding Houthi campaign targeting Saudi energy infrastructure. In recent days, Houthis have claimed strikes against Aramco facilities in Riyadh and Khurais, describing the attacks as retaliation for Saudi military operations in Yemen. Independent confirmation that a Houthi attack caused this fire has not yet been established, and Saudi authorities have not confirmed the cause.
