Yavne Stabbing: Man in 70s Found Dead at Home

A man in his 70s was found dead Wednesday afternoon in the yard of his home in Yavne, a city in central Israel. The victim had sustained multiple stab wounds across his body, according to emergency medical personnel who responded to the scene on Armon Street.

Emergency services received the initial call at 5:04 p.m. Paramedics and emergency medical technicians from Magen David Adom (Israel's national emergency medical service) and volunteers from United Hatzalah were immediately dispatched to the location, along with motorcycle-mounted first responders who arrived to provide urgent medical care and assess the victim's condition.

When medical teams reached the scene, they found the man lying unconscious in the yard with no pulse and no respiration. Despite conducting comprehensive medical examinations and initial assessments, responders determined that the penetrating wounds and trauma he had suffered were fatal, leaving no possibility of survival.

United Hatzalah volunteers Ben Kol, Ohad Mehachni, and Ben Lavia Bromberg, who participated in the emergency response, reported finding the man unconscious in the yard suffering from severe trauma and penetrating wounds. Given the fatal nature of the injuries, they said, death was pronounced at the scene. Due to the distressing nature of the incident and its impact on those nearby, United Hatzalah's psychological support teams were also called to provide emotional assistance to family members and neighbors present at the location.

Magen David Adom paramedic Naomi Afnasiev and motorcycle unit medic Meir Levy described the difficult scene, stating that while the victim was examined on site, the wounds were too severe and significant, leaving the teams with no option but to pronounce death at the location.

Incidents of this nature, involving severe penetrating trauma in residential areas and on private property, typically generate considerable alarm among local residents and heightened alert among law enforcement and emergency authorities. A substantial police presence was deployed to secure the scene, collect initial forensic evidence, and examine all possible angles and circumstances of the case as investigators work to establish the full background of the tragedy.
