A traditional bull-running event in the Spanish town of Liétor, located in Albacete province, turned dangerous on Tuesday when a 30-year-old man was seriously injured after confronting a charging bull. Video footage circulating online captured the incident, which occurred during local festival celebrations.

According to local reports, several participants attempted to face down the bull after it was released from its pen. The young man continued to attract the animal's attention, standing in the road as the bull approached. Within moments, the situation escalated dramatically when the massive animal, weighing approximately 450 kilograms, charged at full speed and struck him with significant force, knocking him to the ground.

The man lay motionless on the pavement for several seconds that seemed to stretch endlessly, as the bull continued to circle near him.

Witnesses feared the worst as he appeared to have lost consciousness from the impact. Bystanders attempted to distract the animal and draw it away from the injured man.

Emergency responders provided on-site treatment before transporting him to the hospital in Hellín for further examination and care. Despite the severity of the collision and the alarming footage, local officials later reported that his condition was stable and he was out of danger.

Following the incident, the municipal authorities of Liétor suspended the remainder of the bull-running festivities.
