A planned Quran-burning demonstration in Minneapolis turned chaotic when a costumed protester physically confronted organizers and was arrested by police

Man in Spider-Man Costume Confronts Far-Right Protesters

A tense demonstration in Minneapolis turned into an unusual confrontation when a man dressed as Spider-Man intervened in a clash between protesters and counter-protesters. The incident centered on a planned event organized by far-right activists who had announced their intention to burn a copy of the Quran.

The demonstration was organized around far-right activist Jake Lang, who had generated controversy by threatening to burn the Islamic holy book. Counter-protesters arrived at the scene, and tensions between the two groups quickly escalated. At one point, the individual in the Spider-Man costume jumped onto the back of a vehicle associated with Lang's group.

Video footage showed the costumed figure climbing onto the vehicle and aggressively confronting Lang and removing a cross, and quickly went viral on social media.

The person behind the mask was later identified as William Love, who explained that he decided to intervene because he wanted to stop what he described as racist provocations.

The protest did not end with amusing images alone. The encounter between members of Lang's group, counter-protesters, and police deteriorated into fighting, resulting in several arrests. Eventually, police officers tackled the Spider-Man impersonator to the ground and took him into custody.
