A military police patrol vehicle that entered Bnei Brak on Sunday afternoon sparked a large-scale protest that blocked traffic on Haida Street in the predominantly ultra-Orthodox city. The incident unfolded when the white military police vehicle drove into a residential neighborhood, where its presence was quickly noticed by local residents. Within minutes, dozens of protesters gathered around the vehicle, with some sitting directly on the road in front of it to prevent it from moving.

The demonstration reflects ongoing tensions in the haredi community over recent arrests of yeshiva students in connection with military draft enforcement. Video footage from the scene shows the military police vehicle nearly completely encircled by residents, including yeshiva students and children, with protesters pressed against the front and sides of the vehicle. Loud protest chants could be heard as bystanders gathered on nearby sidewalks to watch the confrontation.

Aerial footage from a nearby building captured the full scope of the disruption at the intersection. The video shows the junction partially blocked to traffic, with dozens of demonstrators flooding the crosswalk and roadway. Civilian vehicles and transport vans can be seen stopped in the middle of the intersection due to the gathering, alongside initial police units and motorcycle officers who arrived on scene. Passersby are visible attempting to navigate between the crowd and vehicles as tensions remained high and shouting echoed through the area.

Following initial reports of the blocked vehicle and escalating confrontations, additional police forces were dispatched from the Bnei Brak station and the Dan region command. Officers who arrived worked to push back the crowd, clear the roadway, and create a buffer zone to allow the military police vehicle to exit.

After a period of tension and friction on the ground, police succeeded in dispersing the protesters, with the military police vehicle leaving the area safely under police escort.
