Oil tanker struck by projectile in Strait of Hormuz, no casualties reported
A crude oil tanker was struck by an unidentified projectile while passing through the Strait of Hormuz on October 6, according to the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO). The advisory, based on a verified source, reported no casualties. The extent of damage and potential environmental impact have not yet been assessed. Vessels in the area have been advised to exercise caution when transiting.
