Pakistan Announces Closure of Border with Iran
According to recent reports, all major border crossings in Balochistan, including Taftan in Chaghi district, Gabd-Rimdan in Gwadar district, Chedgi and Jirrak in Panjgur district, and Rideeg Mand in Kech district, have been closed for pedestrian traffic and fuel transport until further notice. However, trade activity at some crossings, like Gabd-Rimdan, remains open, and Pakistani citizens stranded in Iran are allowed to return through these points. The closures are described as precautionary measures amid security concerns, with 450 Pakistani pilgrims already evacuated from Iran and more expected to follow.
