Pentagon prepared attack plans on Iran, Trump rejected five proposals - NYT

The Pentagon has developed options for renewed large-scale military action against Iran at Trump's direction, The New York Times reports. The central plan involves a short, intensive three-day campaign targeting Iran's missile and drone arsenal, energy infrastructure, and military sites including Revolutionary Guard headquarters and facilities. In recent months, Trump's security team and the Pentagon presented five proposals for major operations against Iran or the Houthis in Yemen, all of which he rejected. Three US aircraft carriers are expected in the Middle East soon.
