Private Phone Call Released: Netanyahu Warned Senator Graham Against Expanding Operations to Lebanon

Newly released video footage reveals Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu advising US Senator Lindsey Graham to focus strategic efforts on Iran rather than expanding military operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Behind the scenes footage released from early March shows United States Senator Lindsey Graham consulting directly with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu before a planned trip to Florida to meet with President Donald Trump. During the recorded call, Graham proposed encouraging President Trump to support expanded joint military operations against Hezbollah forces in Lebanon.

Prime Minister Netanyahu advised against opening a major new front at that time, explaining that Israeli strategic focus remained concentrated on Iran. Netanyahu warned that launching full scale strikes against Hezbollah could prompt the group to unleash its full arsenal, escalating the situation into a much broader regional war.

According to audio from the interaction, Netanyahu told Graham, "We're concentrating right now on Iran. If we tell Hezbollah that we're going all the way, we threaten them, but if we actually do it, then they have no reason not to go all the way against us." He added, "Right now that's not our interest. We can do it later."

Senator Graham accepted the strategic reasoning during the call, responding directly to the Israeli leader, "Well, that's actually good counsel." Graham noted that he would present the concept cautiously, keeping options open while respecting Israel's primary strategic focus.

The conversation highlights the intense behind the scenes diplomatic coordination between senior United States lawmakers and Israeli political leadership regarding regional defense strategy. Policy analysts noted that the exchange underscores how top military and political officials prioritized primary objectives during critical operational windows.
