Projectile Strikes Near Vessel Off Yemen’s Coast

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said Thursday it received a report of an attack on a commercial vessel about 286 kilometers (178 nautical miles) northwest of the Yemeni port of Hodeidah. According to the incident report, a missile or projectile struck the sea at some distance from the ship. The vessel’s master also reported experiencing severe electronic interference at the time of the incident. No damage or injuries were reported, and the ship continued its voyage. The source of the projectile has not yet been confirmed.
