Russian frigate fired flares near Danish helicopter without warning

A Russian frigate fired flares that passed within metres of a Danish military helicopter without prior warning or radio contact, Denmark's Defence Minister stated. The minister said Russia has increased its willingness to take risks in terms of how far it is prepared to go. Denmark has no plans to seek NATO Article 4 or 5 consultations over the incident.
