Sa’ar Warns Syria: Protect Druze or Risk Losing Control

Gideon Sa'ar: "Our interests in Syria are clear—to maintain the status quo in southern Syria, which borders our region, and to prevent the emergence of threats against Israel in that area. Secondly, to prevent harm to the Druze community, with whom we share a deep and strong bond here in Israel." Sa'ar added: "If the regime in Damascus does not come to its senses, it will ultimately drift further away from its key objectives—chiefly governance and economic prosperity. It's in their interest to regain composure and restore order."
