Screenwriter Meni Asayag published a scathing post on X on Sunday, accusing leaders of the Kaplan protest movement of bearing direct responsibility for the October 7 massacre and calling for them to be put on trial.
"Hey Kaplan terror organization," Asayag opened, "you didn't 'warn' the government of a catastrophe, you threatened the government of Israel that if it didn't bow to your demands, you would bring a catastrophe."
"And you brought it," he continued. "Maliciously. Knowingly. With full intent. You threatened and you delivered, sick mafioso types."
Asayag widened his accusation to include what he called "your cursed reserve generals, with your plants inside the IDF and the Shin Bet, with your criminal media, with the legal cover and backing you received to destroy and demolish, and by means of hundreds of millions of dollars that flowed to you from hate organizations in the US and Europe."
