August in Israel continues to deliver highly unusual weather conditions, with forecasters now warning of an extreme event expected this coming weekend. Meteorologist Lior Sudri of "Meteo-Tech" expressed astonishment at the latest weather model data, stating he has never seen such patterns for late August in the region.
According to Sudri, who shared his analysis on social media, the respected British UKMET weather model is projecting "an extreme weather event between Saturday night and Sunday morning".
The forecaster noted that the synoptic maps showing developments heading toward Israel are highly irregular for this time of year.
This weekend's anticipated system would mark another chapter in an already extraordinary late summer, following earlier rare weather patterns and heavy rainfall that have already affected various parts of the country.
Israel's Meteorological Service and private forecasting companies will continue monitoring updated models closely as the weekend approaches.
