Shas chairman warns of tax revolt, break with police over yeshiva draft enforcement

Shas chairman Rabbi Aryeh Deri warns that the Attorney General's enforcement actions against yeshiva students evading military draft will push the ultra-Orthodox public to a tax revolt and break with police. Deri calls the Attorney General "dismissed and anarchist" and urges the Prime Minister and right-wing coalition partners to stand against what he terms "criminal persecution," warning that silence on the issue threatens the existence of the right-wing bloc.
