Shin Bet chief Zini clashes with Minister Strock over settler violence at cabinet meeting

A heated exchange erupted at last night's cabinet meeting between Minister Orit Strock and Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar (Zini). Strock argued that Palestinians attack shepherds and injure them, accusing the Shin Bet of portraying Arabs favorably while blaming only settlers. "Bring these attacks to light as well, deal with them, and talk about them," she said. Zini responded: "The Palestinians aren't burning down Jewish homes here. You're out of touch. We need to see condemnations and denunciations from the entire leadership. This harms the settlement movement and harms security." Strock insisted she condemns violence "all the time" on various media outlets, which Zini challenged.
