Res. Brig. Gen. Oren Solomon, who headed one of the inquiry teams into the events of October 7th, said Monday on Galei Yisrael radio: "I waited for the Roni Numa committee, which was appointed on December 4th, 2025. Ten months and they haven't published the findings. Why? Because there are difficult findings and conclusions there, some of them in my view regarding Gadi Eisenkot in his time as Chief of Staff, because 'Chomat Yericho A' was in his period, and some of them regarding Eyal Zamir, who was GOC Southern Command."
"And they're not publishing: maybe it's a political tilt, fear of part of the responsibility of Gadi Eisenkot, G-d forbid. So they're bringing in a political matter," he said.
He added dramatically: "I'm telling you this here: I will release my findings in the next week or two, before the elections. You will understand who failed in the responsibility for Jericho Wall. I will explain who was [involved in each period], what was done with it and more."
Solomon served as the Gaza Division's combat commander on October 7th and subsequently led the division's internal war inquiry team. "Chomat Yericho" (Jericho Wall) was the IDF's defensive concept for the Gaza border, which collapsed when Hamas breached the fence and murdered over 1,200 people in southern Israel.
The Numa committee, a military inquiry panel, has not yet released its findings despite being established more than ten months ago. Solomon's accusation is that the delay is politically motivated to shield Eisenkot, who now serves as an opposition MK and is running in the upcoming election, from findings that would implicate decisions made during his tenure as Chief of Staff from 2015 to 2019.
Solomon did not specify what format his release would take or whether he has authorization to publish classified inquiry material. His statement suggests he intends to go public regardless of the committee's timeline.
