Six Hamas Naval Commandos Eliminated in Targeted Strike

The Israeli military announced the elimination of six senior Hamas naval commanders in a series of operations conducted since mid-May across the Gaza Strip. The commanders were key figures in orchestrating sea-borne terror attacks and played a central role in the planning and execution of the October 7 massacre. The targeted operations were carried out jointly by the Israeli Navy, the IDF’s Intelligence Directorate, Southern Command, and the Shin Bet security agency. According to the IDF, the commanders killed include: Ramzi Salah – senior naval official in northern Gaza Jamal al-Baba – responsible for naval activity in central Gaza Ratab Abu Sahiban and his successor Ahmad Ali – both served as heads of the naval force in Gaza City Omar Abu Jalala – senior commander in Khan Younis Mohammed Qashta – oversaw naval operations in Rafah.
