Smotrich proposes striking Beirut buildings for every drone, announces $540M drone defense budget

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich stated that "for every explosive drone, ten buildings in Beirut should be brought down." He announced approval of approximately 2 billion shekels (about $540 million) in budget this week for technological solutions to counter the drone threat. The funding will enable civilian entities to propose innovative solutions and ideas to address the challenge.
