Southern Lebanon residents reverse course northward after Hezbollah official warns against return
Mahmoud Qamati, deputy chairman of Hezbollah's Political Council, urged residents not to settle in southern Lebanon at this time, calling the current situation a "temporary pause" and stating Hezbollah will inform residents when they can return home. Lebanese sources report that following Qamati's remarks, displaced people have begun moving back north from southern Lebanon toward Sidon and Beirut.
