Syrian Druze in As-Suwayda hold pro-Israel convoy, spiritual leader declares unity with Israel

Druze in As-Suwayda, southern Syria, organized a convoy in support of Israel, waving Israeli flags to thank Israel for standing by them against forces of Ahmad al-Shara, Syria's President. Hikmat al-Hijri, the spiritual leader of the Druze in As-Suwayda, stated: "We are an inseparable part of Israel. Also historically." The demonstration comes amid tensions between the Druze community and the current Syrian government.
