Syrian Foreign Minister visits Lebanon, al-Sharaa denies Trump claim on army entering to disarm Hezbollah

Syrian Foreign Minister visited Lebanon and met with the Lebanese President and Prime Minister. Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa clarified that President Trump's remarks about a possible Syrian army entry into Lebanon to disarm Hezbollah were incorrect and misunderstood, stating he is willing to sit with Hezbollah. At a joint press conference, Lebanon's Prime Minister quickly dismissed the idea, saying no additional words were needed beyond al-Sharaa's statement. The Syrian Foreign Minister said he did not meet Hezbollah representatives due to scheduling constraints, but met with Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament and head of the Shiite Amal Movement.
