Syrian Regime Arrests Journalist Who Once Spoke to Israeli Media
The Lebanese news outlet Al-Modon reported this morning that its correspondent in the Quneitra region of southern Syria, known as Nour Golan (real name: Abdallah al-Hassan), was arrested by Syrian security forces for his "media activity." However, sources aligned with the regime claim the arrest was unrelated to his journalism and was instead due to other, unspecified reasons. Golan, originally from Quneitra, returned to southern Syria in recent months following the fall of the Assad regime. He has also previously spoken to Israeli media outlets.
