Thief Steals 104 Tons of Peanuts Worth 2 Million NIS from Be’er Sheva Factory

During “Operation K’Lavi,” a 45-year-old suspect from Tel Sheva exploited the security situation to break into a peanut factory. Together with accomplices, he meticulously planned the heist: spraying cameras, forging license plates, and cutting chains. Four containers holding 104 tons of peanuts were stolen and hidden near his home. The Southern YAMAR unit acted swiftly, locating the suspect the same day and recovering about half the stolen goods. Today, an indictment was filed against him along with a request for detention until the end of legal proceedings. Israel Police stated: “We will act with zero tolerance against exploiting emergency situations for theft and looting to protect citizens’ security and property.”
