Three Arrested for Massive Theft of IDF Ammunition During Gaza War

In a joint operation between Israel Police’s Southern District Central Unit and the Shin Bet, three residents of Bir Hadaj in the Negev were arrested on suspicion of stealing large quantities of military equipment from the IDF. The investigation revealed that the suspects infiltrated military firing zones and stole tens of thousands of ammunition rounds, bullets, and various weapons. During the "Iron Swords" war, they allegedly looted a large cache of ammunition from an IDF truck en route to staging areas near the Gaza border. As part of the investigation, thousands of rounds, a MAG machine gun, and several other weapons were recovered. Today, indictments were filed against the suspects for unauthorized entry into military zones, multiple weapons offenses, and security-related charges.
