Elite Maglan and Yahalom units have completed an extended operation on the Ali Taher ridge in southern Lebanon, during which they spent approximately three months locating and destroying Hezbollah infrastructure. The operation uncovered the central command complex of the terror organization's Badr unit.
The forces contended with mountainous and complex terrain, dense vegetation and boulders, alongside terrorist activity, drones and incoming fire. The fighters conducted prolonged ambushes, covert movements and intelligence gathering until they assembled a complete picture of the underground infrastructure network in the area.
During the operation, underground passages stretching for kilometers were exposed, including command centers, communications and intelligence equipment, ventilation systems, kitchens and medical rooms. According to commanders, portions of the infrastructure were built over an extended period and were designed to enable Hezbollah to operate and command from the area.
