Trump administration brokers deal to remove Syrian nuclear material via IAEA

The Trump administration has reached secret understandings with Israel and Syria under which the International Atomic Energy Agency is expected to soon remove nuclear material stored at a secret site in Syria, U.S. and Israeli officials say. The material is "yellowcake" uranium remaining from Syria's nuclear project, which was destroyed in 2007 under orders from then-Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.
