Trump outlines Iran deal priorities: no nuclear weapons, open Strait of Hormuz
President Trump stated that preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons is his top priority in negotiations, calling it "99% of it." When asked what a good deal would look like, Trump said "no nuclear weapons, that's number one." He also mentioned there has already been a regime change, though he noted that was never a criterion. Trump added the U.S. will not allow Iran to collect tolls in the Strait of Hormuz, stating "we will open the strait in any case" and that it will "open automatically" because Iran needs the revenue.
