Turkish FM warns of "far-reaching steps" if U.S. fails to pressure Israel on Gaza

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated at a joint press conference with his Egyptian counterpart that Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt will be forced to take far-reaching steps if the United States does not pressure Israel regarding the Gaza agreement. Fidan claimed Israel's goal is to expel Palestinians from Gaza, stating "if possible, not to leave a single Palestinian there." He said Turkey joined the Peace Council with Egypt and other countries to thwart this plan through diplomacy, adding "we managed to stop the genocide to a certain extent." Fidan also discussed regional alliances, noting Egypt is examining the Mecca Agreement and calling Egypt Turkey's "natural partner."
