Two sisters were injured Tuesday afternoon when they were struck by a private vehicle on Rabbi Shach Street in Bnei Brak, a major thoroughfare in the predominantly ultra-Orthodox city east of Tel Aviv. The girls, ages 7 and 2, sustained injuries to their heads and limbs in the collision. Emergency medical teams from United Hatzalah arrived at the scene and provided initial treatment before transporting both children to the hospital.

United Hatzalah medics Menachem Selbotzky, Moti Barzilai, and Avishai Zaltzman treated the injured girls at the scene. "We were informed at the scene that they sustained head and limb injuries in an accident involving a private vehicle," the medics reported. "We provided medical treatment at the scene including bandaging and stabilization, and they were evacuated in an intensive care ambulance to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv."
The 2-year-old was listed in moderate condition, while her 7-year-old sister was in light condition. Both were taken to Ichilov Hospital for continued treatment.
