U.S. and Egypt Intensify Push for Gaza Ceasefire Deal

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held a phone conversation with U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff on Monday night as part of intensifying efforts to broker a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, Egypt’s Foreign Ministry confirmed. According to the statement, Abdelatty stressed the urgent need to renew the truce and guarantee the continued delivery of humanitarian and medical aid to the Gaza Strip. Both sides agreed to escalate their diplomatic efforts in the coming days to secure a sustainable agreement between Israel and Hamas.
