U.S. Slaps Sanctions on Hezbollah Finance Chiefs

The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced today the imposition of sanctions on seven senior officials from Hezbollah’s financial arm, “Al-Qard al-Hassan.” This loan network, operated by the terror organization, has had its facilities targeted by the IDF during the ongoing war. Recent reports indicate financial troubles within Hezbollah, which have prevented the group from paying for building repairs in the Dahiya area. Under the new sanctions, effective immediately, all property and interests belonging to the designated individuals located in the U.S. or under the control of U.S. persons are frozen, and any such holdings must be reported.
