UK counterterrorism police investigate two Latvian men detained near RAF Molesworth

Two Latvian men were detained near RAF Molesworth and are under investigation by UK counterterrorism police. The Metropolitan Police initially arrested them on suspicion of trespassing on a prohibited site, then rearrested both under the National Security Act 2023 for entering a prohibited place for a purpose prejudicial to the UK. Authorities say there is no apparent link to prior threats against British bases.
