Israel Urges U.S. to Strike Iran's Fordow Nuclear Site

Senior Israeli officials are pushing for direct American involvement in the campaign against Iran, specifically calling on the U.S. to carry out an airstrike on the heavily fortified Fordow enrichment facility. According to Israeli assessments, only the U.S. possesses the operational capability to destroy the underground site — particularly through the deployment of B-52 or B-2 strategic bombers equipped with bunker-busting munitions. A senior Israeli defense source described such a move as “critical to dismantling Iran’s nuclear infrastructure in full,” noting that current Israeli operations have focused on above-ground and mid-level facilities, while Fordow remains intact and continues to pose a strategic threat.
