Katz praises military leadership, warns Khamenei is turning Tehran into another Beirut

Defense Minister Israel Katz held a high-level security briefing with IDF Chief Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, Mossad Director David Barnea, and senior defense officials. Katz urged the defense establishment to “continue peeling the snake’s skin piece by piece,” referring to Iran’s nuclear program, missile stockpiles, air defenses, and even regime strongholds in Tehran. He praised the IDF and intelligence services, saying “the public in Israel is proud of you.” Katz also accused Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei of turning Tehran into “another Beirut” and using its citizens as human shields. The meeting signals Israel’s intent to maintain sustained pressure on the Iranian regime.
