Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a pointed warning to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, invoking the downfall of Saddam Hussein as a cautionary tale. “Remember the fate of the dictator in the country neighboring Iran who took this path against Israel,” Katz said, referencing Iraq’s former leader who was ousted and executed following a U.S.-led invasion in 2003.
