Qatar Says It’s Working to De-Escalate Israel-Iran Conflict

Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson announced that the Gulf nation is actively engaging with regional and international players in an effort to calm what it called “aggression against Iran.” According to the statement, Qatar views the current escalation between Israel and Iran as a major obstacle to finalizing a ceasefire agreement in Gaza. “We, along with many regional actors, seek to halt the worsening conflict,” the spokesperson said.
