CENTCOM Warned Iran Had Enough Enriched Uranium to Build a Nuclear Bomb Within Weeks Before Israel’s Tehran Assault

Jerusalem Post: U.S. Central Command revealed that just days before Israel’s assault on Tehran, Iran possessed enough enriched uranium to build a nuclear weapon in as little as one week. Iran reportedly stockpiled 400 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60%, doubling its amount from six months prior and nearing the 90% weapons-grade threshold monitored by the IAEA. CENTCOM commander Gen. Michael Kurilla warned, “This is mere steps from weaponization,” highlighting the imminent threat. This intelligence may have been a key factor prompting Israel to launch Operation Rising Lion to preempt Iran’s nuclear capabilities.
