Any building in Iran bearing the distinct blue roof of the IRGC-Aerospace Force (ASF) is now on borrowed time. Major General Hassan Tehrani Moghaddam, the ASF’s “founding father,” is credited with choosing the unique roofing style—unwittingly making these sites easier to identify and target. Moghaddam forged critical ties with North Korea and spearheaded the development of missile systems like Shahab, Ghadr, and Sejjil, capable of striking Israeli targets. His career ended abruptly in a mysterious explosion near Tehran in 2011, and since then, all his successors have met similar fates. The systematic elimination of these blue-roofed facilities signals Israel’s relentless campaign to dismantle Iran’s missile capabilities.
