Update: U.S. Bolsters Forces in Region Ahead of Possible Strike on Iran

As part of preparations for a potential military operation, the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier is set to arrive in the Middle East this weekend under the command of U.S. Central Command. This will bring the total to two American carriers currently in the region. A third carrier, the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, is expected to join next week. Meanwhile, F-22 fighter jets have also been deployed to the area, further enhancing U.S. airpower presence.
