12 Gaza Envelope Communities Cleared to Rebuild

With the government’s decision to lift the security restrictions on 12 communities, the security barrier in the region has been fully removed. Eight of these communities—Kerem Shalom, Re’im, Nirim, Ein HaShlosha, Sufa, Nir Yitzhak, Netiv HaAsara, and Nahal Oz—will be able to return to the Gaza Envelope and begin the upcoming school year in their homes. (The communities of Sufa, Nir Yitzhak, and Netiv HaAsara faced no rehabilitation barriers and can return starting July 1.)
