Hamas: No Breakthrough in Gaza Deal Talks Due to Israeli "Stubbornness"

Hamas and other Gaza-based terror organizations say ceasefire negotiations remain stalled due to Israel's refusal to meet core Palestinian demands, according to sources speaking to the Saudi newspaper A-Sharq Al-Awsat. The sources cited Israel's "stubbornness in avoiding demonstrating a more positive and clear approach" toward key conditions, including a complete cessation of fighting, full IDF withdrawal from Gaza, reconstruction of the Strip, and lifting the blockade. Despite the impasse, Hamas sources indicated negotiations are trending toward a partial agreement based on U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff's proposal, with specific Hamas amendments.
