Hostage families welcome shift in policy, urge a deal, not a military gamble

The Hostages and Missing Families Forum issued a statement in response to Prime Minister Netanyahu’s remarks on prioritizing the release of hostages, saying: “After 20 months, we welcome this as a first-time recognition that returning the hostages is the top objective.” However, the group stressed: “What’s needed is a release, not a rescue, a difference of one word that could mean the difference between life and death.” They demanded an all-at-once deal to return all 51 remaining captives and end fighting in Gaza.
