Lt. Col. M takes command of IDF's Golani 13th Battalion

Lt. Col. T completed his role as battalion commander after a year and five months, having succeeded Lt. Col. Tomer Greenberg, z”l, who fell in battle at Saj’iya. Since taking command, Lt. Col. T led the battalion in combat across multiple fronts — Lebanon and the Gaza Strip. At his farewell, he said, “I stayed in the army for the people — maintain a healthy fighting spirit and constructive criticism. Don’t let even a single hair come between you. These are essential conditions for a proper culture and victory in war.” Last night, Lt. Col. M took command of the 13th Battalion, saying: “With reverence, I accept command of Battalion 13 — a symbol of victory, of bravery, with a proud heritage. You are the living embodiment of unparalleled courage. Your valor will be remembered and spoken of for many years to come. We will continue to fight until the mission is complete.”
