Two antisemitic hate incidents occurred in Melbourne

An unknown assailant set fire to the doors of the “East Melbourne” synagogue during a Shabbat meal, while about 20 worshippers and children inside the building escaped safely. At the same time, 20 masked protesters stormed an Israeli restaurant in the city shouting “Death to the IDF.”
