Five Hebron Sheikhs Seek to Join Abraham Accords

The Wall Street Journal reports that five prominent sheikhs from Hebron have signed a letter recognizing the State of Israel. They expressed their desire to break away from the Palestinian Authority and establish an emirate in the Hebron area, with the goal of joining the Abraham Accords. According to the report, the official maintaining contact with the sheikhs is Minister Nir Barkat, who has already met with them, including Sheikh al-Jabari, who leads the group.
