Cabinet Approves Aid Across Gaza

The cabinet voted overnight to approve humanitarian aid distribution throughout the Gaza Strip, following a heated discussion that included sharp criticism from Prime Minister Netanyahu toward IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi over delays in establishing the planned “humanitarian city” in southern Gaza. “There’s no reason to wait — we need to move forward,” Netanyahu reportedly said. Ministers Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben Gvir voted against the measure, citing opposition to providing aid in northern Gaza, which they argued would hinder efforts to evacuate the population.
