First Round of Negotiations Ends Without Breakthrough

Hamas maintained its demand to include amendments it proposed in the hostage-ceasefire agreement during the first round of indirect negotiations with Israel in Doha, according to reports Monday from the Qatari-based Al-Araby TV, citing sources familiar with the talks. Despite high hopes, the opening round did not yield any significant breakthrough. A second round of indirect negotiations is set to begin shortly, also in the Qatari capital.
