IDF Chief Visits Khan Younis, Responds to Smotrich Criticism

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir visited troops in Khan Younis today and issued a pointed response to recent criticism from Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who accused the military of failing in its mission. “Ignore the background noise,” Zamir said. “We are very close to a decision point, and the achievements here are remarkable. All roads lead to one place. Every option we present and discuss with the political echelon has one goal: hostages and decisive victory. And we are on the path to that victory.”
