Israeli Troops Blast Military Command Over Deadly Beit Hanoun Operation

Intense backlash has erupted from IDF soldiers involved in the Beit Hanoun operation, with some accusing military planners of “sending them in blind.” Just two hours before deployment, troops reportedly requested bomb-neutralization equipment and were denied—yet the mission proceeded. “We’re shaking with rage,” one soldier told journalist Almog Boker. “If they had used an armored vehicle with explosives, the whole minefield would have been cleared. This didn’t have to happen.” The incident follows a disturbing trend—27 soldiers killed in the last three months by the same Hamas IED tactic. Calls are growing for an immediate operational reassessment.
